27 Nov World Physical Activity Education Alliance – Pushing for PE in OECD PISA
Professors Fiona Chambers and Gregor Jurak are leading an initiative to create a World Physical Education Alliance (WPEA) with the goal of having Physical Literacy included in the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), conducted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). PISA is the largest international comparative education programme, with more than 100 participating countries. Currently, PISA tests the skills and knowledge of 15-year-old students in mathematics, reading and science. The next PISA round is in 2029 and will be the 10th edition.
A wide range of global organizations are already supporting the initiative, including the AHKGA. If you are interested in learning more or joining the initiative, please reach out to Fiona (f.chambers@ucc.ie) and Gregor (Gregor.Jurak@fsp.uni-lj.si).
