10 Nov Portuguese Seminar on 24-Hour Movement Behaviours: The Sunrise-Portugal Project
AHKGA Secretary Javier Brazo Sayavera attended the II Portuguese Seminar on 24-Hour Movement Behaviours: The Sunrise Portugal Project was held on November 3 & 4, 2025, at the Faculty of Sports, University of Porto (FADEUP). The event brought together researchers, students, educators, and health professionals interested in the study of physical activity, sedentary behaviour, and sleep.
Organized within the scope of the Sunrise International Study, the seminar aimed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and enhance the translation of research into education and public health practice. Participants engaged in discussions highlighting current evidence on 24-hour movement behaviours and their links with child health and development.
The program included keynote presentations, poster sessions, and a hands-on workshop on Compositional Data Analysis, providing opportunities for knowledge sharing and methodological advancement. The seminar also emphasized the importance of supporting early-career researchers and strengthening international collaboration within the Sunrise network.
