WHO to Launch New Global Estimates of Adolescent Physical Activity

The World Health Organization (WHO) will host a global launch webinar on new estimates of adolescent physical activity, to be published in The Lancet Global Health. The findings will provide the first major update since 2016, offering an important picture of progress, persistent inequalities, and the scale of the challenge ahead.

The webinar will feature presentations by Dr Tessa Strain and Dr Fiona Bull, who will present the latest global findings and discuss their implications for policy and practice.

A panel discussion, moderated by Dr Chris van Tulleken, Professor of Global Health and BBC broadcaster, will bring together leaders from schools, sport, urban design, and active mobility to explore practical examples of action and real-world solutions. Together, participants will consider what is needed to help more adolescents be active, healthy and connected in their daily lives. As this information is highly relevant to the AHKGA, we encourage our members to attend the event.

Whether you work in public health, education, sport, transport, urban planning, research or community development, this conversation is for you.
