Congratulations to Nicolás Aguilar-Farías, lead author of Chile’s first Para Report Card and AHKGA Global Matrix 5.0 Report Card leader, on his presentation at the 39th FIMS World Congress of Sports Medicine in Santiago, Chile!
As part of the Americas Paralympic Committee’s symposium, “High Performance in Paralympic Sport: From Inclusion to Excellence”, Dr. Aguliar-Farías presented “Physical Activity and Disability in the 2030 Agenda: Indicators, Gaps and Opportunities”, highlighting findings from the first Para Report Card and comparing them with results from the Report Card Initiative.
The presentation highlighted gaps and opportunities in physical activity among children and adolescents with disabilities and emphasized the importance of monitoring physical activity indicators to support progress toward the United Nations 2030 Agenda. Dr. Aguilar-Farías also highlighted the AHKGA as a relevant global initiative supporting the assessment and monitoring of physical activity and related indicators among children and adolescents.
