The Global Matrix 5.0 launch at the Asia-Pacific Society for Physical Activity (ASPA) Conference is fast approaching! Taking place in Hong Kong from December 2-4, 2026, the launch symposium will bring together global perspectives on physical activity among children and adolescents.

Led by the Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance, the Global Matrix 5.0 will be the largest and most comprehensive assessment of physical activity and related indicators among children and adolescents to date, bringing together data from 67 participating countries and jurisdictions!

The launch symposium will showcase key findings and innovations from the Global Matrix 5.0, including global patterns in physical activity, inequalities and evidence gaps, and the role of sustainability and planetary health in shaping the future of physical activity promotion.

The symposium will feature presentations from Professor Mark Tremblay, Dr. Iryna Demchenko, and Dr. Eun-Young Lee, highlighting the Global Matrix 5.0 process, findings from 67 countries, and its sustainability story.
