28 Sep AHKGA attends the HEPA 2026 Conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Several AHKGA members attended the WHO-HEPA Conference  held in Ljubljana, Slovenia from September 8-10, 2026. The theme of the conference was “Green Pathways to Health
Integrating Green Spaces and 24-Hour Movement Behaviours for Combating NCDs”. The mission of HEPA Europe is to provide a forum for the advancement of health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA) research, policy and practice for better health and well-being across the WHO European Region.

Dr. Vedrana Sember and Dr. Shawnda Morrison (Slovenia Report Card co-Leaders) launched Slovenia’s 2025 Report Card at the event, whilst Dr. Farid Bardid (Scotland Report Card co-Leader), and Dr. Danijel Jurakić (Croatia Report Card co-Leader), also had oral presentations related to their country’s Report Card results. AHKGA Board Members Dr. Javier Brazo-Sayavera (Spain Report Card co-Leader) and Dr. Tuija Tammelin (Finland Report Card co-Leader), along with Dr. Piritta Asunta (Finland Report Card Team), and Prof. José Carlos Ribeiro (Portugal Report Card team) were also presenting and in attendance, alongside other AHKGA Report Card leaders who attended the conference.
